Great Project Drama Ministry
is a church-based drama ministry at Central Baptist Church, Benin City.
Drama has been in Central Baptist Church for a long time but not in the magnitude it is currently being practiced. The vision to have a drama unit in the church was conceived by Evangelist Osagie Ekhator, after attending the Nigeria Baptist Convention drama workshop at Abeokuta in 2004. He shared the vision with his pastor, Rev. (Dr.) T. Olu Aibinnomo, who advised him to write to the church in conference on the issue. The letter was then written to the church in conference on the advantages of having a separate drama group different from other organizations in the church. This proposal was accepted during one of the church in conference meetings later that year and the church drama group was formally separated from the youth fellowship under which it was operating. The letter dated August 8th, 2004 was written by Evang. Osagie Ekhator.

However, after the separation, the operations of the ministry did not start that year as the members of the ministry had to wait for proper guidance by the Lord on how the ministry would go. The drama group was referred to Central Baptist Church drama ministry. It was on October 1st, 2005 at about 5:30 pm in Central Baptist Church, Benin City on the occasion of one of the ministries presentations that the message of the God gave to the ministry was unveiled by Dr. (Mrs) Amasah-Great Project Evangelistic Drama Ministry which has metamorphosed into Great Project Drama/Film Ministries International of Central Baptist Church, Benin City. Great Project is based on Nehemiah 6:3 on the occasion of the skirmish between Nehemiah and his detractors, Sanballat and Tobiah when he was building the wall of Jerusalem. Ever since then, the ministry has been embarking on God-sized assignments within and outside the church.

Over the years the Lord has proven Himself mighty in the lives of the members of the ministry and the ministry itself.
internationally
Great Project Drama/Film Ministries, has been a blessing to so many lives who have the privilege of watching the films on YouTube outside the country. Specifically, Great Project ministries was in Cameroon for a drama training/ministration in 2013. The film, my HEARTBEAT was shot in Cameroon, making it, Great Project Drama/Film Ministries first film to be shot in a foreign land.
locally
Likewise, testimonies abound from people who have equally watched Great Project films within and outside the country. Some have even gone ahead to request for the title of films which have blessed them. Many of Great Project films are shown on local and international stations within the country. Stage and film ministrations have also been done in states like Delta, Port Harcourt, and Lagos.

The Lord has been gracious to us through the revelation of divine visions which makes the ministry. It is by His mercies that the films have been shot. Over thirty films have been produced to the glory of God.

The Lord has continually sustained the ministry with committed and dedicated workers over the years and this has brought consistency in the different ministerial activities.
Training Arm
Through our drama school many gospel drama within and outside on the state have been trained on church drama and different aspects of film production and some are doing exploits in their churches and ministries.

We partner with our church on evangelism and outreaches. Our films have been very useful in this regard as well as the gospel magazines we produce which are distributed for free in the streets. We also align also with the vision of our pastor
